Adrian Dev is an American actor, producer, and presenter. He is known for his roles in the HBO series Westworld, the Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Disney live-action film Mulan (2020).[1] Dev has also worked behind the scenes as a producer and served as a presenter at the National Film and Television Awards.[2]
Early life and education
Dev was born in Houston, Texas.[3] He spent time growing up in Chicago, New Jersey, and New York City due to his father's corporate work. He attended Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, where he participated in football, tennis, and track.[4]
He later enrolled at the University of Alabama, where he was a walk-on member of the football team.[5] Eventually, he transferred to California, studying television production at UCLA and California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.[6]
Career
Dev began working in film as a production assistant on The Adventures of Thomasina Sawyer and later as a stand-in on Amazon’s The Big Sick.[7]
He had a recurring role on Westworld, appearing in multiple episodes over three seasons.[8] He was later featured in series such as SEAL Team, Medal of Honor, and Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks. Dev also had appearances in Vice (2018), The Laundromat (2019), and other independent films including Line of Descent and Maybe I’m Fine.
In 2020, Dev played the Red Fire Rouran in Disney’s Mulan.[9] He also had a role in the Star Wars miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi as a member of the Path on the planet Jabiim.[10]
As a producer, Dev has worked on short and independent film projects, and as a presenter he has appeared at the National Film and Television Awards in multiple years.[11]
