Anant Joshi is a harmonium player, music teacher, music director and music composer. He was born on 12-Aug-1976..[1]
Early life and Education
He began musical training from his father Pt. Achyut Joshi at the young age of 10 years.[1] He received valuable guidance from Pt. Vishwanath Kanhere, Pt. Vishwanath Pendharkar and Shrinivas Khale.[2]
Anant Joshi has achieved Sangeet Alankar in harmonium from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj.[1]
Awards and Achievements
Anant Joshi won several awards in Instrumental music competitions in Mumbai and Maharashtra including inter-college competitions of Mumbai University in 1995 and 1996. He was also leader of the cultural committee of Mumbai University for the national youth festival and won the national level trophy in 1995-1996.[1]
He was awarded a fellowship as an Outstanding Artist of India for the year 2011-12 by the Cultural Ministry of India.[1]
He was awarded as the Best Music director at the Maharashtra Rajya Natya Mahotsav in 2015.
In 2019, he was honored by the Pt. Ram Marathe Rajya Yuva Puraskar by Thane Municipal Corporation
Music career
In his career as an accompanying harmonium player, he has accompanied almost all the young and senior singers of Indian classical music at several places in India and abroad. He has also performed as a solo harmonium player in India and abroad.[3]
He is the founder and president of Kala Rasik Mandal, Thane[4]
Anant Joshi also conducted a full schedule as a Music arranger for Zee Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa[3]
Anant Joshi has composed more than 100 songs in Hindi and Marathi language in the format of CD, DVD, VCD and YouTube channels[5] as a Music composer[3]
