Question about this mapThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. Is it about total cases, or just active cases? Victionarier (talk) 15:25, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

New Caledonia and Cook Islands mixed up?The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. I notice the Cook Islands are filled in, but no cases have been reported there yet, whereas New Caledonia, which has confirmed cases, is not filled in. Were these mixed up by any chance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.175.190.112 (talk) 11:48, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

AbkhaziaThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. There are no cases in Abkhazia, it should be decolorized. The woman who has been diagnosed is treated in Georgia and was only passing through Abkhazia on her way from Russia to Georgia. She also has Georgian citizenship. source in Russian --Extended Cut (talk) 21:52, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Donetsk & Luhansk People's RepublicThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. I think the areas for the Donetsk & Luhansk People's Republic should only be the occupied areas, not the entire claimed Oblast (state), since the unoccupied areas are reported as part of Ukraine's numbers. --17jiangz1 (talk) 00:01, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Large countries being split up into smaller subdivisionsThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. There was at least one other time in the past month, if I remember it correctly, when China was split up into provincial divisions. It was reverted after just one day, and so there was only one color for the whole of mainland China. Then yesterday, China and some other large countries were split up again. Was there a new consensus for doing that? I do understand that such countries may have their subdivisions affected differently. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 11:05, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
But technically all nations are 'hiding" information of the corona cases if subdivisions arent shown. Australia is huge but has a smaller population then many smaller nations this argument makes no sense make all countries equal. Bleach143 (talk) 22:52, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Splitting countriesThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. Great job splitting countries into smaller subdivisions. It helps to show where the epicenters are located. What about doing this for the UK, Spain and Germany? Or would it be too messy and crowded since these countries are relatively small? --Spaastm (talk) 16:37, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

NunavutThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. Nunavut needs to be painted grey again, their lone case was a false positive. Does this image give any valid information? The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. Does this image give any valid information besides how much testing is going on in different jurisdictions? Some places tests almost everyone, some doesn't test anyone but persons admitted to hospital care with active corona symptoms. Western SaharaThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. A border needs to be put on the map in Western Sahara according to how it is de facto controlled, and then the part governed by SADR should be decolorized. --Extended Cut (talk) 22:15, 13 May 2020 (UTC) The discussion above is closed. Incorrect boundaries and shading on World map of confirmed cases per capita for Nunavut, CanadaThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. ![]() The "Map of confirmed cases per capita" incorrectly colours islands to the East of James Bay (Canada) and North East of Hudson Bay with the same shade of the province of Quebec. It also colours islands to the South West of James Bay with the same colour of Ontario. Both are incorrect. Every island on James Bay and the larger Hudson Bay are part of the territory of Nunavut. All Canadian islands on the Hudson Bay as well as James Bay should be of the colour of Nunavut Territory. Can you please correct the map? Thanks!

Nenets AOThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. I've noticed that the Nenents Autonomous Okrug in Russia hat quite a few new cases in the last week and should have been in the "3 to 10 per 1000" category for a while now (they're well over 5). Am I missing something? In the Russia article it's the same btw. thanks, keep up the good work Benson.by (talk) 13:15, 14 July 2020 (UTC) The discussion above is closed. Please do not modify it. Hawaii? The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. You're doing excellent work, and I realise it's difficult to keep up with the changes, but Hawaii should have been in the 3-10 cases category several days ago and still isn't... Grutness...wha? 14:38, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
BonaireBonaire is colored in but there are no reported cases there as of today. Keystroke (talk) 09:10, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Splitting ArgentinaArgentina is the 8th largest country in the World by size, and 98% percent of the cases are located in the Capital City Buenos Aires and it's surrounding satellite cities known as the Greater Buenos Aires. I believe these are enough reasons to split the country in the map so as to be realistic on the distribution of cases.--181.229.89.100 (talk) 21:13, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
Provinces of ArgentinaHi! Will be great if somebody put Argentina provinces in the map. Thanks! MexicoShould the number of cases go by each state of Mexico instead? It is one of the most populous nations in the world slightly ahead of Japan. Also it is one of the top ten most infected countries in the COVID-19 pandemic. 2605:E000:100D:C571:E0A0:848E:577F:F036 (talk) 21:43, 23 August 2020 (UTC) Mexican statesIt would be great if someone added the Mexican states in the map for the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.
