Pennebaker Productions

Pennebaker Productions was a film production company founded by Marlon Brando. It produced a number of films, including several without Brando.

The company was formed with the backing of Paramount. Brando named the company after his mother's maiden name and later wrote he had "three objectives" for it: "to make films that would be a force for good in the world, to create a job for my father that would give him something to do after my mother died and to cut taxes."[1]

The board of directors included Brando's father, two press agents (George Glass, and Walter Seltzer) and George Englund.[2]

It was eventually sold to Universal.[3]
