Hi Twisted,
Thank you for reaching out. I'm one of the unit historians at West Point, the United States Military Academy in New York. West Point has been an active historical site since the 1790s, and I've been trying to update our unit wikipedia page with all sorts of historical photos and information from three historical documents I've collected from the West Point Museum and the USMA Archives relating to the West Point Band, a U.S. Army unit stationed here.
At this point, I was hoping to just add a few more photos from the Presidential Inaugurations that the band performed at and maybe a few more sections about the band's history in the mid twentieth-century. This isn't to promote anything or make money, it's just to put the information somewhere. The band is a very storied unit in the U.S. Army.
How do you suggest I proceed from here? Do you believe there is a COI here? WestPointBandHist (talk) 22:56, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just make sure everything you add is sourced and cited correctly, and refrain from the use of undue adjectives, and you should be fine. Augmented Seventh🎱 19:45, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Augmented Seventh, (Love the name btw)
Sounds good. I'll comb through soon and start adding all the citations that I have. I really appreciate the support. WestPointBandHist (talk) 19:59, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
