Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Cabayi (talk) 09:42, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Dopheia (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)

Request reason:

I'm sorry I used the corp and understand the reasons Wikipedia dose not want it. I'd like to use just the word Dopheia. It's a made up word that comes from the first two letters of my wife's name "Do" from Dominique, the middle letters "phe" from my name Christopher and the last letters "ia" from my daughter Gaia. It's meaningful to our family and I found a good username because it's always available. Thank you for understanding.

Decline reason:

No, simply dropping 'corp' is not sufficient. Additionally, as you know, your username is only one small part of the problem here. You need to address the other problems raised above. Yamla (talk) 12:00, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply and education.
I would kindly ask you to reconsider the name as it now complies with the rules highlighted. Since it is truly unique, it can not be an advertisement. I didn't address the other concerns so to keep the update simple.
Next, since you asked, I edited an article that was supplied by Wikipedia and improved the grammar. The changes were obvious and easy. So I can't imagine there are any problems there.
Third, the article proposed about the filmmaker highlights his role on a movie "Planet of the Humans" that is a widely noted environmental film Executive Produced by the well known documentarian Michael Moore, is widely available, and accumulated over 30 million views. Elevating it to one of the most viewed documentaries.
Also, the film "40 Weeks" is well reviewed and regarded as the go to film to help women through their pregnancy journeys. Having the information about the film is, in my opinion, the exact service of providing useful information I see Wikipedia as providing. In fact on Ranker it holds the number two spot as the most respected pregnancy documentaries listed. https://www.ranker.com/list/best-documentaries-about-pregnancy/ranker-film
The oblique nature of what makes it onto Wikipedia has confounded me. I thought it would make more sense to highlight the director and co-producer of these projects first. Especially since there's a well established page for "Planet of the Humans", but if I should just make a page for the film "40 Weeks" then I'll do that.
I look forward to your guidance. Regards. Dopheiacorp (talk) 12:21, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Neither username conforms to the Username policy. It represents your business and the business' website. Usernames may not represent a group, organisation, or business, a role within them, a product, a service, or a website. Your real name is not required, just something unique to you that represents YOU, not your job. Cabayi (talk) 13:15, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I should also say that stating your intention to write further articles with which you have a conflict of interest is unlikely to help your request for an unblock. Cabayi (talk) 13:17, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's regrettable that you interpret my name this way. It doesn't represent my business, it represents my family. It also happens to be a business name. What a shame. I will submit a new name under that form.
I still stand on the fact that the information I have proposed is notable and rises above Wikipedia's "strongly discouraged" bar. Christopher Henze is notable, he has been intimately involved in two significant documentaries and authored a significant hypothesis called "The Wise Women Hypothesis" which is the result of 8 years of research including interviews with over 30 anthropologist, scientists, doctors an authors.
https://medium.com/@chris_67080/the-wise-women-hypothesis-how-menopause-and-fire-shaped-human-evolution-03d95b482e2b
The hypothesis is now a third documentary by Christopher Henze produced by Oscar winner Jonathan Sanger, Executive Produced by CEO of the Geena Davis Institute Madeline Di Nonno and activist and comedian Margaret Cho who's also lead narrator.
It is important that the provenance of these facts are established, for history and the practical need for accurate information to be available. I understand the vigor that is being used to defend the integrity of this site but still think it's value to the community important enough to be published. Dopheiacorp (talk) 14:11, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Of course you think your autobiography is important. That's why it's a conflict of interest. Cabayi (talk) 15:26, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That would be an acceptable new username, but you haven't spoken to the other reasons for the block. 331dot (talk) 22:17, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
