A tag has been placed on Category:CIA World Factbook images indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 01:29, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Willett Advisors

Hello, I work for Steven Rattner. A few weeks ago I posted an edit request at the talk page of Steve's investment firm Willett Advisors (which handles Michael Bloomberg's personal and philanthropic funds) - at Talk:Willett Advisors#Updates to the article. Initially, an editor responded to the request to ask for clarification, but he has basically been inactive over the past month and a half and has not followed up. I see that you've contributed significantly to the Michael Bloomberg article over the years, so I thought you might be an appropriate person to take a look and consider making the changes I've proposed. Thank you! E at rattner (talk) 17:37, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edelman Family Foundation

Hi @Neutrality

I am reaching out to you because of your previous participation in one of the discussions regarding the reliability and neutrality of HuffPost/Pink News/ProPublica as sources used on Wikipedia.

Currently, there is an ongoing issue with the Edelman Family Foundation section in the Joseph Edelman Wikipedia article. The section appears to be biased and lacks a balanced representation of the foundation's activities, as it primarily focuses on a single controversial donation while neglecting to mention the organization's numerous other significant contributions to various causes.

I would like to invite you to participate in the discussion on the BLP Noticeboard to address the concerns surrounding the section's neutrality and explore ways to improve its content. Llama Tierna (talk) 18:18, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of Jewish youth organizations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unsourced, original research

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Allan Gerson

Dear @Neutrality

I noticed that you contributed to JASTA's page, which was related to the work of my late father, Allan Gerson (not Alan Gerson), who I have been trying to understand the best practice to contribute to the creation of his Wikipedia page. I am a newbie here, and have created a draft:Allan Gerson, perhaps mistakenly (?) with sources on his work from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and NPRamong other sources. Might you be willing to review the page, or point me in the right direction here on how to best create a page that documents his contributions to international law?

Many thanks for your assistance and all the best,

Non-diffusing categories

Non-diffusing categories are specifically intended as a catch-all and should not be diffused. They are clearly marked as such and articles should not be removed from them simply because they are also in a subcat. This is intentional. See the tag on Category:Women bishops. Skyerise (talk) 21:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

But that subcat does not appear to be a catch all, surely? That's why there are only 11 entries in the parent cat, but 116 entries in the subcat (women Anglican bishops). Does not the following text of WP:CAT#NON-DIFFUSE apply?: "Note that some categories can be non-diffusing on some parents, and diffusing on others. For example, Category:British women novelists is a non-diffusing subcategory of Category:British novelists, but it is a diffusing subcategory of Category:Women novelists by nationality." By analogy, here Category:Women Anglican bishops is certainly non-diffusing category of Category:Anglican bishops, but certainly a diffusing category of Category:Women bishops (which is broken down by church). Bishop Budde - Lafayette Park

I noticed you reverted my edit on Bishop Budde's page regarding the Lafayette Park with the comment that it was "nonsense." I posted on the talk page that the page is misleading since it still reads that the park was cleared for a photo op for Trump (it wasn't). I offered compromise language since I don't think the reference should be there at all and no one argued with that position. It was correctly pointed out that if the sentence is left in it would be nonsensical to not reference Bishop Budde's belief at the time that the park was cleared for a photo op. If we are going to leave the sentence in then the article should not mislead readers that Lafayette Park was cleared for a photo op when in fact it was cleared for fencing. How is that nonsense?

https://www.npr.org/2021/06/09/1004832399/watchdog-report-says-police-did-not-clear-protesters-to-make-way-for-trump-last- PerseusMeredith (talk) 13:55, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • PerseusMeredith: We already talked about this on the article talk page. You can resume the discussion there if you want. Neutralitytalk 16:14, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion was removed. You might not have seen my last comment. The article still reads as if the park was cleared for the Photo Op. That's not right. You correctly pointed out that it doesn't make sense if we don't have the reference to Bishop Budde's facts at the time that the park was cleared for a photo op. However, the OIG investigation concluded the removal was for fencing and not the photo op. I think her comments are undue for her biography at all and I think it should be removed. However, I'm willing to compromise and propose we include language regarding that the facts that Bishop Budde had at the time suggest it was cleared for a photo op. I'm happy to resume the conversion on the talk page there. PerseusMeredith (talk) 18:56, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
